Brown Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games
Monday, September 19th , 2044
The Kannapolis Intimidators may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 4-1 to the Hickory Crawdads, but Micah Brown continued to hit like a god.
The catcher collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Brown is playing great and is on fire right now," Intimidators manager Fraser Miller said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Brown was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Micah Brown flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
This year Brown has hit at a .335 clip with 140 hits, 14 home runs, 82 RBIs and 71 runs scored.
