Boynton on a Tear, Hits for Cycle

It was a special day for James Boynton at Bowling Green Ballpark today. Not only did Boynton's Charleston RiverDogs beat the Bowling Green Hot Rods 9-5, but the second baseman hit for the cycle along the way.
The 24-year-old Boynton racked up 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 5-for-5 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
"He hit everything we threw," said Hot Rods manager Ryan Strauss. "There was just no getting him out today."
Speaking to the press after the game, Boynton said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs."
"I got some good looks today," he said.
James Boynton singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Eric Smith in the 5th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 10th.
For the season Boynton has hit .328 with 21 home runs and 102 RBIs. He has played in 146 games and scored 115 times.
