Burngooch Grabs NL Reliever of the Year Tuesday, November 22nd , 2044 He may only be 22, but Greg Burngooch of the Hartford Yard Goats has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the National League. The reliever was today named the NL Reliever of the Year winner for 2044. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 28 saves in 71 relief appearances and 103 strikeouts in 87.1 innings. He had a record of 7-1 to go with his 1.96 ERA. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jonathan Gendron of the Binghamton Mets finished second in voting, while Travis Porter of the Hartford Yard Goats finished third.
