Great Stroke: Luis Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, June 29th , 2044 5 times is the charm -- at least for Ruben Luis. The Tri-City Dust Devils shortstop tore up the West Virginia Black Bears to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Gesa Stadium today. The offensive onslaught from Luis powered the Dust Devils to a 7-2 win. "Luis was a tough out today," West Virginia manager Kevin Gausman said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Ruben Luis doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This season in 57 games, Luis has hit at a .289 clip with 58 hits, 2 home runs, 16 RBIs and 36 runs scored. |
