Rodriguez Spins 15-K Game
Thursday, August 11th , 2044
Marco Rodriguez of the Vancouver Canadians put on a pitching clinic today at Nat Bailey Stadium as he struck out 15 Tri-City ValleyCats in a 18-0 victory. Rodriguez, who is tied for 2nd in the NYP with a 2.11 ERA, was simply magnificent as he held the ValleyCats to 2 hits. He walked 1.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Rodriguez said, "but eventually my curveball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Rodriguez's performance, Canadians manager Devlin Peyton shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
To this point in the season, Rodriguez shows a 16-1 record, 16 starts, 111 innings, 118 strikeouts and a 2.11 ERA.
