McGrath Goes Yard 3 Times Thursday, August 18th , 2044 Kippy McGrath went on an explosive hitting spree against the Batavia Muckdogs at Las Palmas Complex today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Los Angeles (NYP) Dodgers to the 23-8 win. The left fielder finished 4-for-5 with 4 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," McGrath said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Batavia skipper Connor Kaden said McGrath was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Kippy McGrath hit a three-run home run off James Bitner in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Giampaolo Nobile in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Babbitt in the 5th, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This season McGrath is batting .283 with 28 home runs. His totals include 88 RBIs and 76 runs scored. |
