Batavia Whitewashed by Klarich Monday, August 22nd , 2044 It wasn't easy but the Hillsboro Hops made it look that way. Starter Josh Klarich shut out the Batavia Muckdogs despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Hillsboro Hops cruised to victory, 18-0. Klarich allowed only 4 hits and rang up 10 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." So far this year Klarich has nailed down no saves. His won-lost record is 8-11 with a 4.07 ERA. |
