Red-Hot Caraveo Scorches Muckdogs Friday, September 2nd , 2044 Salem-Keizer Volcanoes center fielder Gil Caraveo went ballistic today with the bat. He hammered the Batavia Muckdogs for 5 hits and drove Salem-Keizer to a 11-1 win over Batavia at Dwyer Stadium. Gil Caraveo tripled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Scott Feltham in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Caraveo has collected 159 hits for the Volcanoes this year, 6 of them home runs. He has also netted 82 RBIs and scored 80 runs while batting .349. |
