de la Cruz Rocks Spikes for 3 HRs
Friday, September 23rd , 2044
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Alfredo de la Cruz discovered that today at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, as he smashed three home runs during the 17-8 Milwaukee (NYP) Brewers win over the State College Spikes.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Milwaukee (NYP) right fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
de la Cruz finished the day with 3 hits in 6 at-bats and 6 RBIs.
Alfredo de la Cruz hit a two-run home run off Jorge Aguilar in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Ed Puentes in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dan Hardman in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
This year de la Cruz is hitting at a .300 pace with 23 home runs and 89 RBIs. He has played in 124 games and scored 111 times.
