Taylor and Grijalva Brawl, League Suspends Them Saturday, December 5th , 2043 After an intense confrontation, both the Pirates Nate Taylor and the Padres Brett Grijalva were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Pittsburgh (WIN)-San Diego (WIN) game. Nate Taylor will miss 4 games, while Brett Grijalva was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Nate Taylor commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Taylor is batting at a .281 pace this season, picking up 9 hits in 32 at-bats with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
