League Punishes Pair for Fighting Wednesday, December 9th , 2043 After an intense confrontation, both the Astros Mike Davis and the Mets Doug Nickey were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Houston (WIN)-New York (WIN) game. Mike Davis will miss 5 games, while Doug Nickey was suspended for 11 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mike Davis commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In the 2043 season Davis is hitting .095 with no home runs. |
