Athletics Dominate, Sweep Wildcard Series Sunday, January 24th , 2044 The Oakland (WIN) Athletics had all facets of their game going and have swept the San Diego (WIN) Padres in the Wildcard Series. Oakland (WIN) now heads off to the Divisional Series, after wrapping up the series with a 9-4 win. Sakae Kasahara was named MVP, as he put up a .556 batting average, with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Oakland (WIN) Athletics will play against the Washington (WIN) Nationals in the next round. Washington (WIN) had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The Divisional Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
