LeBlanc Rips 3 Homers Against Yankees
Saturday, December 3rd , 2044
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the New York (WIN) Yankees today.
San Diego (WIN) first baseman Aaron LeBlanc tripled up on the home runs to propel the Padres to the 9-4 win at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," New York (WIN) manager Steve Finton said. "LeBlanc hit the heck out of the ball."
In addition to the homers, LeBlanc collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."
Aaron LeBlanc struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Greg Adair in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Walker in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Josh Shaw in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Thus far this season LeBlanc is hitting .343 with 7 home runs, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 35 at-bats and has played in 9 games.
