Free-for-All Costs Robbins and Redman 2-Game Suspensions Tuesday, December 13th , 2044 You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at Roger Dean Stadium. A free-for-all broke out when Luke Robbins of St. Louis (WIN) and Clay Redman of Asheville rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game. Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 2 games. This year Robbins is hitting .219 with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .315 clip and scored 4 runs. |
