Luckwell Tags 3 HR Against Angels

In a powerful performance that left the fans at Petco Park buzzing, San Diego Padres third baseman Jerry Luckwell blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 10-6 win over the California Angels.
"Everything was clicking," Luckwell told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Luckwell shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Padres manager Robert Yoka said. "Jerry played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Jerry Luckwell hit a solo-shot off Danny White in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Danny White in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Barney Pederson in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
In his stats this season, Luckwell has posted a batting average of .322 with 136 hits in 423 at-bats, 27 home runs and 86 RBIs. He has also scored 89 runs, walked 65 times and compiled a .413 OBP.
