Red-Hot Bat: Geisler Collects Cycle Tuesday, September 6th , 2044 Sean Geisler truly did it all at Busch Stadium today. The Cincinnati Reds first baseman hit for the cycle -- collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- as he paced his club to victory, 4-3 over the St. Louis Cardinals. "You know that sweet sound you hear when you hit the ball just right? I heard that every time today," Geisler said later. "It was a heck of a feeling." It was a game good enough for him to make a little history. He bombed St. Louis pitching for 4 hits in 5 at-bats and his name will now go into the record books. Geisler also racked up 1 run batted in and 2 runs scored in the game. Sean Geisler grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Geoff Mooney in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 9th and tripled in the 11th.
