Muneo Kawachi of Oakland Injured, DTD Saturday, September 10th , 2044 Oakland team officials speculated whether star center fielder Muneo Kawachi would be scratched from today's ballgame after he suffered a finger sprain in yesterday's matchup with the Montreal Expos. Kawachi denied reports that he would miss a lot of time, but added that he would not risk further injury by playing. Kawachi is batting at a .288 pace this season, picking up 143 hits in 497 at-bats with 22 home runs, 60 RBIs and 77 runs scored. |
