Lawrence Homers 3 Times Against New York
Tuesday, September 20th , 2044
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Marvin Lawrence did today at Yankee Stadium, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 10-7.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Lawrence said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Boston Red Sox left fielder blistered the New York Yankees for 4 hits, batted in 5 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," New York manager Carl Arnold said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Marvin Lawrence walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Francisco Rivas in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off David Ibarra in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Juan Hurtado in the 9th.
Lawrence is batting .346 with 6 home runs and 14 RBIs this season.
