McAleer Belts 5 Hits Friday, September 23rd , 2044 Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Marvin McAleer really lit up the Atlanta Braves with a 5-hit barrage today at Turner Field -- a performance that sparked the Pirates to a 19-9 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Marvin McAleer singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Alex Montes in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Larry Stegall in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
