September's #1 NL Rookie Named Saturday, October 1st , 2044 The Rookie of the Month Award winner has been chosen and the National League honor went to Miami hurler John Dinsmore. For his rock-solid stints in September he has been named the league's outstanding rookie. During the month, Dinsmore was impressive with a 3.35 ERA and 4 wins and 1 loss. In 37.2 innings he struck out 22 and gave up 31 hits and 19 walks. So far this year Dinsmore has made 10 starts, tossed 59.2 innings, struck out 36 batters and walked 28. His record is 5-4 with a 4.53 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .238 batting average. |
