Big Bang! 3 HR for Los Angeles's Branham
Monday, October 3rd , 2044
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Bob Branham discovered that today at Dodger Stadium, as he smashed three home runs during the 8-2 Los Angeles Dodgers win over the San Francisco Giants.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Los Angeles first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Branham finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 7 RBIs.
Bob Branham hit a solo-shot off Keith Kidd in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Keith Kidd in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Chris Moris in the 7th.
Looking at his present stats, Branham has compiled a .264 batting average in 156 games with a .309 on-base percentage, while hitting 45 home runs and driving in 117 runs.
