Diamondbacks Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, October 4th , 2044 Members of the Arizona Diamondbacks sat in stunned silence in their clubhouse, adjusting to the knowledge that they had lost their chance for a playoff berth this year. "We really thought we had the team to get into the playoffs," said starting pitcher Murphy Quirk. Arizona last appeared in the postseason in 2033. This is their 11th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 37 times in their 47 - year history. |
