White Sox Cruise to League Championship Series with Sweep Wednesday, October 12th , 2044 Despite the best efforts of Randy Shrewsbury, the Chicago White Sox have won the Division Series. The Detroit Tigers standout was named series MVP, even though his team lost to Chicago 2-1 in the final game, and dropped the series 3-0. "Hats off to them, they deserve to be moving on," Shrewsbury said at Comerica Park after being awarded his MVP trophy. "I just wish I could trade this trophy in for a chance at the World Series." For their part, the White Sox celebrated long into the night, as they are now set to move on to the League Championship Series. The Chicago White Sox will play against the Texas Rangers in the next round. Texas won their series against the New York Yankees 3 games to 0.
