Hedrick Socks It to Goldeyes, Cracks 5 Hits
Thursday, September 1st , 2044
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the York's 13-12 win over Winnipeg today, first baseman Trent Hedrick was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Revolution Field.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Hedrick said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Trent Hedrick singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a sac fly in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, singled in the 9th, doubled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
This season Hedrick has hit at a .269 clip and produced 37 runs batted in, 2 home runs and 36 runs.
