20-Game Hitting Streak for Bailey Wednesday, September 14th , 2044 Eric Bailey's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 2-for-4 in a 16-2 Miami Beach Marlins triumph over the Portland Angels at Miami Beach Stadium. The 20-year-old right fielder has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Marlins. Eric Bailey singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Chris Adams in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th. Bailey is hitting .377 this year with 51 home runs, 139 RBIs and 156 runs scored. He has 141 hits in 374 at-bats, 139 walks and a .545 on-base percentage. Bailey has played in 102 games. |
