Big Day with Bat: Krieger 5-for-6 Thursday, September 29th , 2044 Adam Krieger exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Area 51. The Joplin catcher had a field day in the 25-1 triumph over the Roswell Invaders, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Krieger must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Adam Krieger hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Henry Torres in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and flied out in the 8th. This season Krieger is hitting .291 with 95 hits, 16 home runs, 70 RBIs, scored 55 runs and played in 89 games. |
