Dietz 5-for-6 Against Roswell
Sunday, October 2nd , 2044
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Houston's Bob Dietz made it happen today against the Invaders. Everything came together at the plate for the 18-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Colt .45's to a 28-1 win at Colt .45's Stadium.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Dietz said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Bob Dietz hit a two-run home run off Jeff Whaley in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th.
This year Dietz has hit 12 home runs and posted a .282 batting average.
