Blue Crabs Pitts Smacks 5 Hits Tuesday, October 4th , 2044 The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs swept past the Canton Indians 19-1 today at Canton Ballpark, paced by third baseman Mike Pitts. The 19-year-old Pitts got 5 hits in 6 at-bats, helping to down the Indians. Mike Pitts hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Cohen in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Kenzo Shinoda in the 9th. This season Pitts is batting .324 with 115 hits and 24 home runs. He has scored 60 times and has 85 runs batted in. |
