LaReau Blasts 3 into Bleachers Saturday, October 8th , 2044 Fans are still buzzing after Hamilton whipped the Columbus Reds by the score of 23-0 today at Columbus Baseball Complex. Chris LaReau smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the first baseman bashed out 3 hits in 7 at-bats, had 6 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, LaReau said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," LaReau said. "Three is just... wow." Chris LaReau flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Brian Trejo in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Davy Thorne in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Davy Thorne in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This year LaReau is batting .353 with 18 home runs and 42 RBIs. In 31 games he has scored 30 times. |
