EL Player of the Week Chosen Monday, October 10th , 2044 So far in his young career, Sesto Carpini has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Eastern League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old Trois-Riveres Aigles shortstop hit at a torrid .667 clip as he collected 16 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored. Carpini is hitting .344 this season with 31 home runs, 108 RBIs and 98 runs scored. He has 155 hits in 450 at-bats. |
