Great Day for Walker, Hits for Cycle Wednesday, October 12th , 2044 Hamilton's Tyler Walker accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Walker finished 4-for-4 with 4 runs batted in and 5 runs scored and helped the Cardinals knock off the Winnipeg Goldeyes 18-0 at Stoney Creek Stadium. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Walker told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Tyler Walker hit a two-run home run off Tom Winsor in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 8th. For the year Walker is batting .305 with 18 home runs. |
