ThunderBolts Advance to Quarter-Finals Friday, October 21st , 2044 The Windy City ThunderBolts bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship. Windy City downed the Trois-Riveres Aigles 9-3 tonight at ThunderBolts Center, to take the Round 1 4-2. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Larry Myers, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Pioneer Baseball League." For the series, Myers had 11 hits for .500, with a .560 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
