Windy City Moves on to World Series Wednesday, November 9th , 2044 The Windy City ThunderBolts are riding high after winning the Semi-Finals and eliminating the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs by a series score of 4-2. The final blow came tonight at ThunderBolts Center, when Windy City secured its spot in the World Series with a 4-3 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said right fielder Herkko Haavikko, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Haavikko certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .440 with a .440 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 5 home runs, drove in 11 RBI and scored 5 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Semi-Finals finishes. |
