Myers Chosen 2044 EL Most Valuable Player Award

He may have less experience than most of his Pioneer Baseball League peers, but that didn't slow Larry Myers down at all in 2044.
At the age of 19, the Windy City right fielder has been named the winner of the Eastern League Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .384 batting average and a .452 on-base percentage this year. In 130 games he piled up 197 hits, 37 doubles, 4 triples, 55 home runs, 162 RBIs and 139 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 30. Gang-sheng Chew of the New Jersey Devils finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Herkko Haavikko of the Windy City ThunderBolts finished third.
