Hort Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, September 17th , 2044 The hitting streak for Oregon State University right fielder Karel Hort now stands at 20 games, but the Beavers dropped today's contest 8-4 to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hort went 2-for-5 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Karel Hort singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Hort is currently hitting at a .376 pace with 4 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
