Croom Garners ORI #1 Pitcher Award Tuesday, November 1st , 2044 Tim Croom doesn't think about his career all that much. He doesn't fixate on yesterday and he doesn't worry about next season -- he has learned to worry only about today. That attitude, coupled with 3 saves in 11 relief appearances netted the 15-year-old reliever October's Division 1 Pitcher of the Month trophy earlier today. The University of Maine reliever pitched 16.2 innings, struck out 22 and walked 5 on the way to a 2-0 mark and a 0.00 ERA. In 19 relief appearances this season Croom has chalked up 3 saves with 37 strikeouts in 33.2 innings, 3-1 won-lost mark and a 0.80 earned run average. |
