Super Swinger -- Goldsborough Slams 5 Hits Friday, November 11th , 2044 5 times is the charm -- at least for Dustin Goldsborough. The University of Miami Hurricanes catcher tore up the University of Georgia Bulldogs to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Foley Field today. The offensive onslaught from Goldsborough powered the Hurricanes to a 13-12 win. "Goldsborough was a tough out today," University of Georgia manager Tom LeFever said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Dustin Goldsborough hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Matt Schmidt in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Looking at his stats this year, Goldsborough has compiled a .315 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 40 runs. He has played in 57 games and scored 27 runs. |
