Chanticleers Not Competitive in 13-0 Loss to Florida State University Tuesday, November 15th , 2044 In an outstanding mound performance, Florida State University Seminoles starter Heraclio Sosa fired a complete-game shutout against the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers at Springs Brooks Stadium today. Sosa was the key to the Seminoles's 13-0 win. The 15-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 4 hits and no walks he allowed. "4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." This year Sosa has a 4-3 mark in 11 starts with a 2.48 ERA. He has given up 48 hits in 61.2 innings, struck out 67 and issued 15 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .205 batting average against him. |
