Kahele Stretches Hit String to 20 Sunday, November 20th , 2044 University of Nebraska lost to the University of Florida Gators 24-7 at Haymarket Park today, but Kekoa Kahele kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Cornhuskers right fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Kekoa has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," University of Nebraska manager Billy Vopinek told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Kekoa Kahele singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th.
