University of Minnesota's Nishi Top SL2 Batter in November Thursday, December 1st , 2044 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 15 Shohei Nishi has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young University of Minnesota Golden Gophers star can enjoy the numbers he put up in November, which have garnered him the nod as the Sub League 2 Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .394 average with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 19 runs scored. In his stats this season, Nishi has posted a batting average of .370 with 112 hits in 303 at-bats, 13 home runs and 73 RBIs. He has also scored 71 runs, walked 36 times and compiled a .433 OBP. |
