Titans Marrone Named ORI's Best Pitcher Thursday, December 1st , 2044 High pressure game situations don't seem to affect Chris Marrone, the bullpen ace of the California State University at Fullerton Titans. He regularly is put to the test and he regularly makes quick work of the opposition. In November, he was honored for his outstanding relief work. The Division 1 presented the Pitcher of the Month trophy to him. The Titans reliever had no saves, pitched 22.2 innings, struck out 17 and walked 6 en route to a 4-0 mark and a 2.78 ERA. This season Marrone has nailed down 1 save with 33 strikeouts in 44 innings. He is credited with 7 wins and 1 loss and has a 4.30 earned run average. |
