Bad Behavior Costs Dower and Donizetti Thursday, December 8th , 2044 Yesterday at McKethan Stadium Tim Dower and Yann Donizetti got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the University of Florida Gators and University of Virginia Cavaliers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Dower will have to sit out 4 while Donizetti would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. So far on the season Dower is hitting .324 with 10 home runs, 51 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 102 hits and played in 89 games. In 12 starts this season Donizetti has registered a 4-1 record and a 4.14 ERA. |
