Giants Lose to Braves, 5-3
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants were able to complete their ballgame.
The Atlanta Braves picked up a win at Turner Field, knocking off the San Francisco Giants, 5-3. On the mound for Atlanta was right-hander Casey Jones, who played a pivotal role in the win. T.J. Balko closed it out for his 1st save.
Making an impact for the home team was Butch Kaiser. In the bottom of the fifth, the fan favorite had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Braves.
Jones called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
Atlanta has now won 4 straight.
