6-2 Loss Deepens Houston Funk
|
Kansas City Royals starter Oscar Banda pitched a strong game against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park, leading the Royals to victory, 6-2. Houston's current losing streak is now 6 games.
Kansas City used a clutch hit from Bill Baconneck to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Baconneck. "And not try to do too much."
