Mariners Deal Athletics 6-4 Loss
|
Nate Dean had a good game, but he could not keep the Oakland Athletics from falling, 6-4, to the Seattle Mariners at O.co Coliseum. The Oakland second baseman was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk in the loss. With the victory, the Mariners upped their record to 25-15.
The Mariners benefited from a costly error in the top of the fifth. With Tze-meng Gan at bat and Seattle leading 5-4, the Oakland miscue allowed Seattle to plate 1 and take the lead, 6-4.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Gan said in reaction to the win.
