Rojas Goes on Rampage Against Suns
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for Chad Rojas as he led the charge to a 8-7 win over the Suns. The Great Lakes right fielder was pure misery for the Hagerstown pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Rojas put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Vincent Velasquez, manager for the Suns, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Chad Rojas flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 9th, hit an RBI single in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 13th.
For the year Rojas is batting .267 with 24 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 9 times and driven in 11.
