Indians Win at Chicago, 5-4
|
Wrigley Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs.
In a tight contest at Wrigley Field, the Cleveland Indians edged the Chicago Cubs by the score of 5-4. Cleveland first baseman Danny Dunham, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Jon Glenn got credit for the save for Cleveland. It was his 1st of the year.
Cleveland used a clutch hit from Stu Sornson to get the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Indians ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Dunham. "And not try to do too much."
The victory puts Cleveland at 9-41.
