Bauman Tags Yard Goats for 5 Hits
|
Steve Bauman of the Suns was unstoppable in today's 5-4 victory over the Hartford Yard Goats at New Britain Stadium. He battered them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Hagerstown left fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-7 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."
Steve Bauman singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th, singled in the 13th and hit an RBI single in the 15th.
Thus far this season in 22 games Bauman is batting .369 with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 84 at-bats.
