Behind a fine performance from Tommy Mize, the Toronto Blue Jays knocked off the Houston Astros, 6-4. Mize was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs for the Blue Jays. Timo Lantinga earned the win for Toronto. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 6-2. Bobby Wright earned the save for Toronto, his 4th of the year.

The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ruben Velasco. For the game, Velasco was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Toronto a 4-3 lead.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Velasco told the Toronto Citizen.

With the win, Toronto upped its record to 30-22.
