Indians Come Back Late to Top Angels, 5-3
|
Hector Pedroso impressed in the 5-3 Cleveland win over California. Pedroso, who finished 5th in the NL in stolen bases with 39 in 2039, was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Cleveland pitcher Hector Guerrero got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Tyler Keenan got the loss. The 4th-place Angels have lost 11 consecutive games.
Moe Lester was the walk-off hero for Cleveland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Indians left fielder hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Lester told the Cleveland Daily News.
